I am interested in travel, and seeing the differences and similarities in places I visit, to the places I live in.  Many years ago I went to Spain and  I made a series of rubbings of various surfaces.  Black and white photos taken in Spain were printed onto transparent paper.  Some of the rubbings had water colour applied.
